I went to Specsavers

It would have been impossible to get an appointment with the GP, certainly this month and very probably this year.

So as my sight is so bad I thought I’d try Specsavers. I went on-line at about 09:00 today and booked an appointment for 10:35 the same day.

I’ve always been very pleased with Specsavers, and today was no exception. They saw me promptly and did a very thorough test. They have altered my prescription for glasses, though it will be a couple of weeks before I get the new ones, but there is some debris in the eyes, particularly the left one, but they are contacting my GP for me with a view to having a visit to a specialist.

So no instant improvement, but I hope the new glasses will help and that I’ll have meeting with the consultant who did my cataracts (10 years ago) in the not too distant future. It was quite reassuring, though I still can’t really read, work on screens, take photographs or do any railway modelling.
