I felt I must photograph them yet again, with a bee, as this may be a last opportunity.

These have been putting on a great show all through the summer, as they did last year. They survived the winder in the same outdoor location!

They are still flowering, but definitely past their best. A Polaroid SX-70 photo, retaining the original format, even though it doesn’t suit this image. As you can see, my patio is much in need of cleaning.

I noticed the other day that there were a lot of buds on the rhododendrons, but I wasn’t expecting any to flower until next year, but one of the buds has actually opened.
