The first of this year’s tomatoes is ripening nicely, and another 4 are changing colour too. There are plenty of smaller ones, still green, on the 4 plants.

Not had time to take many photos today, and as this one of a hollyhock shows, we have had some rain. The extra below shows what I have spent most of the day doing 2 films, C41, and then scanning).

Too much choice today, there were 3 other candidates. Fortunately it was not quite as hot today – I got very little sleep last night.

They are enjoying the sun. But it’s too hot for me (difficult sleeping when it is this hot too), and it’s hard work watering the plants in these conditions.

I posted a picture of my hanging basket a couple of days ago, and commented that I only had one this year. The gardener has been today, and brought me a second one, so here it is.

I’ve only got the one this year. Usually several neighbours have better ones, but I’m not going out at the moment, so I’ve not been able to sample any of them.

When I posted a picture of the first flower on this clematis a few weeks ago, I confidently predicted that it would soon be covered in flowers. What a mistake to make. One more flower appeared at that time, those … Continue reading →
